Day 1: Arrival in Porto
Arrival at Porto airport - Group welcome by our tour guide - Coach - Transfer through the city - Check in at a 3*** or 4**** hotel - Aperitif and Welcome dinnerat a restaurant near hotel - Overnight stay

Day 2: Fall in love with Porto
Breakfast - Morning, visit to Porto, the second largest city in Portugal and the first industrial center of the country, spread alongside the Douro River. Visit to the medieval church of St. Francis, of Gothic origin with a striking contrast to the decoration on the inside, which represents the most extreme of Portuguese baroque. Then a visit to the Exchange Palace, and its famous Arab hall, which is nowadays the seat of Porto's trade association. A stroll and free time in the heart of the city, in the popular district of "Ribeira" with its square, a fashionable meeting point - Lunch at leisure - Optional: Afternoon, possibility of a cruise on the Douro or a walk along the "ria". Visit the well-known wine storehouses of Vila Nova de Gaia where the world famous Porto wine is left to age: Technical visit and tasting included - Return to the hotel - Dinner at leisure and overnight stay

Day 3: Day trip in Barcelos, Braga and Guimarães; the origins of the Lusitanian people
Breakfast - Day trip to Barcelos, a town which in the 15th century was the residence of the 1st Duke of Bragança. It has become one of the most active craft centers in Portugal and it is the birthplace of the omnipresent "Coq de Barcelos", Portugal's emblem. Visit to the ancient historical city, with its beautiful medieval buildings and its blazoned houses. On to Braga, also known as the "Rome of Portugal", and visit of the Church of Bom Jesus do Monte with its stately staircase and surroundings of lush vegetation. It is one of the best examples of Portuguese baroque architecture. Magnificent panoramic views - Lunch at leisure - Afternoon, on to “Guimarães”, historical city and current flourishing industrial city, known for its cotton and linen mills. Visit to the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança, former residence of the Count of Barcelos, first Duke of Bragança. Great halls decked out with rich furnishings, china and a remarkable collection of tapestries - 160 Km - Return to the hotel - Dinner at leisure - Overnight stay

Day 4: Porto - Coimbra - Costa da Prata - 180 Km
Breakfast - Free morning in Porto and lunch at leisure - Wheels up - Depart for Coimbra, visit to the first capital of Portugal and, since the 16th century, citadel of knowledge. Sightseeing tour of the city with a local guide including a visit to the University of Coimbra, the true heart of the city, with its famous "Torre de la Cabra" (goat's tower). Visit to the ancient 16th century Cathedral Sé Velha with its fortress-like aspect and the Monastery of the Holy Cross, in the neurological center of the city which contains the tomb of the first King of Portugal. On to Costa de Prata - Check in at a 3*** or 4**** hotel - Dinner at leisure and overnight stay

Day 5: Day trip in Óbidos, beautiful medieval town, Nazaré, land of fishermen, Batalha and Fatima, pilgrimage site
Breakfast – Day trip: Obidos, medieval fortified city, classed as historical monument. Walk along the ramparts to "Rua Direita", Obidos’ main street, full of souvenir merchants where you will be able to taste the "Ginja" (cherry liqueur served in a chocolate cup). Continue to Nazaré, a fishing village, with a beautiful long beach dominated by an abrupt cliff - Lunch at leisure - Afternoon, visit to "Sitio", a district perched at 110 meters, on the highest of promontories of the Portuguese coast and which preserves a rustic atmosphere. Visit to the Sanctuary of Notre Dame of Nazaré, with its miraculous chapel with "azulejos" (tiling) dating back to the 17th century. Free time for a walk along the beach and to see the fish spread out to dry in the sun. Continuation to Batalha, to visit the Gothic styled Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, registered as a UNESCO world heritage Site, one of the most important monasteries in Portugal and a real architectural mark, representing the symbol of the independence of Portugal. Continue to Fatima and visit to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima and its esplanade, with a possibility of visiting the new 21st century sanctuary which gives shelter to 10.000 pilgrims and, since the month of May, was visited by Pope Benedict XVI - 290 Km - Return to the hotel - Dinner at leisure - Overnight stay

Day 6: Day trip in Aveiro, Portuguese Venice and the forest park Buçaco
Breakfast - All day trip. Wheels up. Depart for Aveiro, also known as "the Portuguese Venice" where the canals crisscross the town to create a maze of waterways. From the docks, the beauty of the uneven multicolored boats can be admired; always full of spirit and brightness that reveals the cheerfulness of people of the river mouth. 45 minute trip in a “Moliceiros” boat (brightly painted high prow boat) towards the "Ria", surrounded by canals and salty marshland. Free time in the town center for shopping or simply strolling. Gourmets will taste the Ovos Moles, real specialty of the town, a sort of wafer with a garnish of egg preserve. Wheels up - Depart for a visit to one of the cellars of "Bairrada" - Local product lunch in the wine cellars. You will try the famous suckling pig. Afternoon, on to Buçaco, a forest woodland with very rich flora. In a clearing, you will see a former royal hunting lodge in the "Manueline" style, nowadays transformed into a luxury hotel - 240 Km - Return to the hotel - Dinner at leisure - Overnight stay

Day 7: Figueira da Foz - The Queluz and Sintra Palaces, and cliffs and beaches of Estoril and Cascais - Lisbonne - 215 Km
Breakfast - Wheels up - Depart for a day trip to Lisbon to visit the National Palace in Queluz, sumptuous palace built in the 18th century, surrounded by wonderful gardens in one of the most beautiful examples of European Rococo. Continuation to Sintra, an enchanting town with its villas, its fairy tale palaces and its exotic gardens. Visit to the Palace, royal residence until the end of the 16th century, with two immense conically shaped chimney stacks reminiscent of the Alhambra. Take advantage and taste a delicious "Queijada" (cheese tart), gastronomic specialty of the town. Visit to Estoril, known as "the land of two springs", cosmopolitan town, with its elegant villas and its famous casino. Sightseeing tour along the coast to "Cabo da Roca cliffs" to admire its lighthouse of 165 meters high and its beautiful fine sandy beach. Continue to Cascais, well-known seaside resort. Lunch at leisure during the trip - Check in at a 3*** or 4**** hotel - Dinner at leisure - Overnight stay

Day 8: Lisbon, the City of Light
Breakfast - Morning, visit to Lisbon, capital of Portugal, city of Mediterranean charm which is sure to seduce you. Sightseeing tour of the city with a stop in the Belem district with its famous tower (outside view) where the caravels of discovery left from. Visit to the JerónimosMonastery, and then the popular district of the "Alfama" (white town) with narrow winding streets, perfumed and interspersed with little squares and old houses with the Belvedere of Saint Luzia, which gives us one of the most beautiful images of the old Lisbon – Lunch and dinner at leisure. Free time for afternoon - Overnight stay

Day 9: Évora, historic city in the heart of the Alentejo
Breakfast - Wheels up - Departure from Lisbon by crossing the Tagus over the well-known 25th April bridge. Route to Evora, a nice and pleasant landscape between vineyards, olive groves and cork oak forests leads to this historic city in the heart of the Alentejo region. Visit to the historical district in the old town recognized as a World Heritage Site. It is a dense district which concentrates the essential of the artistic and architectural heritage: The Giraldo square, the cathedral, the Roman temple of "Diana" and the church of Saint-Francis with the Chapel of Bones. Short period of free time to obtain some souvenirs (cork objects well-known) - Lunch at leisure - Free time for afternoon in the town center, among its typical streets. Evening entertainment is really charming - 280 Km - Return to the hotel - Dinner at leisure and overnight stay

Day 10: Depart
Breakfast and depart from the hotel - Transfer by coach to Lisbon airport - End of our services
