Day 1: Arrival in Barcelona
Arrival at Barcelona Airport - Group welcome by our tour guide- Coach - Transfer to Barcelona - Check in at a 3*** or 4**** hotel - Aperitif and Welcome dinnerat a restaurant near hotel - Overnight stay

Day 2: Barcelona
Breakfast – Day out in Barcelona with a local guide: Plaza Catalunya and discovery of the Gothic quarter, the oldest inhabited part of Barcelona which has preserved its medieval charm. Visit to the Cathedral (free visit), dedicated to Santa Eulalia. Walk on the Ramblas where the locals stroll, down to Barcelona's harbor - Lunch at leisure - Afternoon, free time in Barcelona - Dinner at leisure - Overnight stay

Day 3: Barcelona - Poblet Monastery - Zaragoza - 340 Km
Breakfast - Wheels up - Depart from the hotel for a day trip to Zaragoza. First stop in Santes Creus, to visit its Monastery, which is located in the heart of an area watered by the Gaia River, full of olive trees, almond trees and vines. The establishment of a Cistercian community in this beautiful place in 1558 led to the implementation of a village. Then continue towards Poblet, to visit its Monastery, one of the most fabulous religious works of the 12th century with its church and its cloister – Lunch at leisure on the way – Afternoon, visit to the Monastery of Vallbona de les Monges, built in 1175, isolated for a long time. It is the biggest Cistercian feminine monastery of Catalonia and has always being hosting a community. Continue towards Zaragoza – Check in at a 3*** or 4**** hotel – Dinner at leisure – Overnight stay

Day 4: Day out in Zaragoza
Breakfast - Morning, discovery of the Old Town which has kept the traces of different cultures that have succeeded as heads. Romans, Muslims and Christians have contributed to make of Zaragoza a real treatise on architecture. Visit with a local guide to the Basilica of Our Lady of Pilar where we can find the well-known statue of the Patron Saint of Spain. Then visit to the Cathedral of La Seo, which is noted for its bell tower and its baroque front – Lunch at leisure - Afternoon, free time around the Plaza del Pilar, the river port and the shopping streets in the center - Dinner at leisure – Overnight stay

Day 5: Day out in "Monasterio de Piedra"
Breakfast – Wheels up - Depart for a day trip in Nuevalos. Discovery of the vast park of the Monasterio de Piedra. Visit to the Monastery (guided, 45 minutes), with its cloister and its chapter house. Discovery of various facilities of the Cistercian monastery, the Calatayud wine museum, the museum of carriages and the reproduction of the reliquary triptych of the Monasterio de Piedra - Lunch on the site at a restaurant - Afternoon, continuation of the discovery, to admire its natural features such as waterfalls, lakes and caves. A charming place, well known in Aragon. You will complete the tour of this magnificent site with a demonstration of flights of birds of prey - 190 Km - Return to hotel – Dinner at leisure – Overnight stay

Day 6: Huesca - San Juan de la Peña - Leyre - Sos del Rey Católico - 215 Km
Breakfast – Wheels up - Depart from the hotel for a day trip towards Yesa. Passage through Santa Cruz de la Serós, where you can find a good example of traditional architecture such as the Romanesque church of San Caprasio (1020-1030) and the church of Santa Maria (11th century). Then towards Santa Cruz, stop in the historic art set of San Juan de la Peña, located on St James’ way under a large rock. Visit to the old monastery and the interpretation center of the new monastery. Then on towards Leyre – Lunch at leisure – Afternoon, visit to the Monastery which has a rare beauty. It is located in the heart of the countryside, near the Sierra de Erraondo, the Yesa Dam, the mountains of San Juan de la Peña and the "Canal de Berdún". Then continue towards Sos del Rey Católico – Check in at a 4**** Parador hotel – Dinner at hotel restaurant – Overnight stay

Day 7: Yesa - Puente de la Reina - Estella - Logroño - 270 Km
Breakfast – Wheels up – Depart from the hotel for a day trip towards Logroño. First stop in Puente de la Reina, where converged the main roads leading to Compostela. Discovery of the church of “Santa Maria de la Vega y el Crucifijo”, the Calle Mayor and its famous Roman Bridge. Continue to Estella, noble city founded in 1909 by Sancho Ramírez, King of Navarre. Popularly known as "The Little Toledo", Estella offers several medieval gems to pilgrims. Visit to the monastery of Irache. Then continue to Logroño – Lunch at leisure – Afternoon, with a local guide sightseeing tour of the city, the capital of the autonomous province of La Rioja, which owes its fortune to the Ebro. Walk through the old districts where are the old town hall and the typical streets full of bars with “tapas”. Visit to the gothic-styled Cathedral of Santa Maria de la Redonda, cathedral since 1959, the building was built in the 15th century – Check in at a 3*** or 4**** hotel – Dinner at leisure – Overnight stay

Day 8: Logroño - San Millán de la Cogolla - Santo Domingo de la Calzada - Burgos - 130 Km
Breakfast – Wheels up - Depart from the hotel for a day trip towards Burgos. First stop in San Millàn de la Cogolla, in the heart of a beautiful region. The relics of San Millán (St. Emilien) are the goal of pilgrimage since the 6th century. Visit to the monastery of Yuso. Then continue to Santo Domingo de la Calzada which owes its existence to the charity and to the miracles of St. Hermit – Lunch at leisure - Afternoon, discovery of the charming old district dominated by a magnificent Romano-gothic Cathedral, the whole being surrounded by a medieval wall partly preserved. Continue to Burgos – Check in at a 3*** or 4**** hotel – Dinner at leisure – Overnight stay

Day 9: Day out in Burgos
Breakfast – Morning, visit to Burgos, stopping stage on Saint James' way to Compostela. It is often presented as an arrogant city, proud of its past. Sightseeing tour, on foot, of the city, to discover the Plaza Mayor and the Plaza de Santo Domingo de Guzman. Visit with a local guide to the Cathedral, declared a World Heritage Site in 1984, consecrated in 1221. It is a jewel of Spain’s Gothic art – Lunch at leisure – Afternoon, free time to stroll through the lively pedestrian streets, full of stores, local products and shops. A profoundly Castilian, lively and welcoming city, always vigilant to respect the environment and protect its architectural heritage – Check in at a 3*** or 4**** hotel - Dinner at leisure - Overnight stay

Day 10: Burgos - Monastery of Silos - Madrid - 290 km
Breakfast – Wheels up - Depart from the hotel for a day trip towards Madrid. Stop in Santo Domingo de Silos, to visit the Cistercian monastery, a remarkable Spanish Christian monument. Visit to its jewel, its Roman cloister and its legendary hundred year old cypress (planted in 1882, measures more than 25 meters high). Continue to Madrid – Lunch at leisure on the way – In the middle of the afternoon, arrival in Madrid, the capital of Spain – Check in at a 3*** or 4**** hotel – Dinner at leisure – Overnight stay

Day 11: Day Avila and Escorial
Breakfast – Wheels up - Depart for a day trip towards Avila, a city of churches and convents, the birthplace of St. Teresa, which preserves intact its walls of the 11th century. With a local guide visit to the old town and the convent of Santa Teresa, built in 1636 on the place of the native home of the saint. Visit to the church of San Pedro and its cathedral – Lunch at leisure - Afternoon, return and stop in San Lorenzo de El Escorial to visit the monastery. Philip II decided to build the monastery to commemorate the victory of St. Quentin against the troops of Henry II on August 10, 1557 - 240 km - Return to the hotel - Dinner at leisure – Overnight stay

Day 12: Day in Madrid, a capital overflowing with culture, art and ambiance
Breakfast - Morning, with a local guide, sightseeing tour of this overflowing capital with culture, art and ambiance, to discover the contrasts that Madrid offers to its visitors. Tour by the most tourist areas such as the Spanish Steps and two skyscrapers of the 1950s, the Gran Vía, Plaza Mayor, the Puerta del Sol or the Plaza de la Cibeles. Then visit to the church of San Isidro, former Jesuit church which was once the cathedral of Madrid. Visit to the church Del Sacramento and the Vistillas Gardens, and to the church of San Francisco el Grande – Lunch at leisure – Overnight stay
